Call Out to God (based on Psalm 17)
Faithful God, I am calling out to you! Hear a just cause, O Lord; attend to my cry. Listen to me, God, I need you now! From you let my vindication come; let your eyes see the right. Now, God, is when I need you. Be here with me. I call upon you, for you will answer me, O God; incline your ear to me, hear my words. Listen to me, God, I need you now! Wondrously show your steadfast love, O savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at your right hand. My hope is in you, Faithful God. Answer me when I call unto you. Amen.

Recently I found a prayer that I wrote in January 2016. I had forgotten about it and just happened to discover it while looking for something else. When I reread this post tonight, it made me think of my prayer. Here is it is. Tell me what you think. Love U
Hey God, that I don’t understand
God that feels closer than a best friend
but also as distant as a scary enemy.
I bring you my cracked open, broken heart
Filled with anger, fear and disgust.
I bring you my broken spirit
My weakened faith
My disappointment
My envy of others with healthy loving relationships
I struggle to get through the day putting one foot down and then the other
Wondering if there is a cradle of rest, a hammock of security
a glimmer of hope that will fill my soul and lubricate my dry bones.
What do I ask?
Do I ask?
You know my thoughts and the crazy mixed up feelings that reside too near to the surface.
Help me to be healthy, assured, and assertive.
Help me to establish boundaries sturdy to keep me safe. Yet porous enough to allow others to comfort.
Strong enough not to seek or desire revenge
Secure enough to accept whatever comes.
Hold my impulsive tongue

Ouida,
Thanks for sharing. I love the honesty present in these words. And I hope you enjoy finding something you have written and forgotten about as much as I do! Praying for a hammock of security for all of us today.
